Thread: 8/0 brown

Body: Burnt orange or dark ginger Haretron dubbing

Hackle: Barred ginger, dark

Rib: Tag end of tying thread

Underwing: Krystal Flash

Wing: Whitetail deer, natural or bucktail, dark brown

Collar: Hackle, dark brown

Notes: This pattern has been around for many years in various styles, colors and materials. It was likely the inspiration for Kaufman's Stimulator. It works really well in this form for October Caddis hatches and tied in a dull orange is a great pattern on rivers with Golden Stonefly hatches.
