Parachute Adams

Hook: Tiemco 100 or 101 - standard dry fly hook
Size: 12-20
Thread: 8/0 Gray
Tail: Brown and grizzly hackle, shank length
Body: Beaver - Adams gray
Post: White Antron
Parachute Wing: Brown and grizzly hackle
Notes: Put the brown hackle on the bottom and the
grizzly on top to make it easier for you to see. Use white Antron in
lieu of the traditional post; it's easy to see and much easier to tie.
This very traditional pattern in parachute style is a must for every
fly box in the Rocky Mountain West.
This fly pattern is excerpted from Fly Fishing the
Solitude-Montana.
